05/12/2011: Berti: "Tough challenge for Lazio"
email print
Just hours before Lazio play Novara at Olimpico, LLSN spoke to their former goalkeeper Gianluca Berti about the match:

"Tonight I expect Lazio to come out strong, especially after their match in the Europa League. They do not want to disappoint their fans. I do not know why Lazio have struggled to score goals lately, because in attack they have great players that can make a difference. Cissé just need to stay calm and focus on football. With a few goals, all this controversy will be forgotten. Federico Marchetti has done exceptionally well so far. He has already been at the National Team, and he must not forget this. Despite his problems at Cagliari he has always been a top goalkeeper."

Novara are already fighting for relegation and Berti expect them to play a typical defensive match against Lazio:

"Novara are searching for salvation and points against Lazio tonight would help a lot. They will look to close all small spaces, like small teams do when they come to a great stadium like the Olimpico. It will be complicated for Lazio. I do not think they can go for Scudetto this season. Milan and Juventus are the strongest."
