After the disappointing loss in the Coppa Italia against Juventus on Wednesday the Lazio youngsters had another big match at Formello today, against Napoli. Before this round Napoli were placed at the middle of the table with 13 points.

Alberto Bollini has had injury problems lately, and Onazi & Barreto did not make it back from injury. Luis Cavanda also travelled with the first team to Lecce, so Guglielmo Stendardo had to step in to help out the defence. Napoli also decided to get some help from a senior player, with Miguel Britos playing 90 minutes.

LAZIO (4-3-3): Scarfagna; Sbraga (53' Serpieri) , Stendardo, Crescenzi, Salustri; Cilfone, Zampa, Cataldi; Ceccarelli (70' De Francesco), Rozzi, Tira (60' Emmanuel)  (Mosciatti, Serpieri, Vilkaitis, De Francesco, Fagioli, Monteforte)

NAPOLI (4-3-3): Crispino; Allegra, Britos (55' Di Donna), Celiento, Nicolao; Palma, La Torre, Fornito (67' Signorelli); Insigne, Romano (45' Dezi), Scielzo   (Capotosto, Savarise, Di Donna, Esposito, Dezi, Signorelli, Amico)

Goals: 14' Rozzi (L); 57' Stendardo (L); 66' Ceccarelli (L) 88' Signorelli (N)

In this match Lazio struggled to hold the ball and it was Napoli who had the possession. That did not matter, because it was Lazio who created chances. After 9 minutes Ceccarelli beat two defenders to give the ball to Rozzi. Rozzi was able to finish but the ball did not hit the target.

Just 5 minutes later Rozzi had more luck. After beating two Napoli defenders he put the ball behind goalkeeper Crispino. A beatiful goal by the 17 year old striker, his 6th this season.

Rest of the first half neither team could create much but right before half time Napoli had a huge chance when Insigne were alone with Lazio's goalkeeper Scarfagna. He was not able to hit the target.

In the second half, Lazio was awarded a corner in the 58th minute. A the back post Stendardo was unmarked and made it 2-0 for Lazio with a great strike in the top corner.

5 minutes later Tommaso Ceccarelli sealed the victory for the Biancocelesti. With help from a Napoli defender Ceccarelli were able to beat Napoli's goalkeeper with a long range shot. Ceccarelli probably had his biggest chance ever right after that. On a counter attack, he & Rozzi found themself alone with the Napoli goalkeeper but Ceccarelli did a huge mistake when he tried to dribble the goalkeeper instead of passing it to an open Rozzi.

Before the match ended Napoli got their goal from a penalty, after Serpieri touched the ball with his hand after a sliding tackle.

As usual Roma & Palermo won their matches. Palermo beat Nocerina 3-0 at home, while Roma smashed Gubbio 9-0 away.

This was Lazio's last league match of the year. On Wednesday they will travel to Torino to try and beat Juventus after Juventus won 2-0 at Formello in the first leg.
