18/12/2011: Reja: "We want our revenge"

Edy Reja still feels bitter from last season's CL battle with Udinese and knows that this year he has a chance to make amends.

"Udinese are one of the best teams in Serie A this season, they nearly won all of their games. But we would like to take our revenge from last year when they qualified to the Champions League and we went to Europa League. Winning against them will definitely increase the value of my Lazio." said Reja in the press conference before the game.

Reja then went on to praise Guidolin, Udinese's coach: "He deserves more credit for what he did in his career, he is foing a great job."

Then the reporters asked Reja to draw a comparison between Klose and Di Natale. Reja said: "They are both crucial. Di Natali continues to surprise everyone despite his age, he is a great finisher. Klose on the other hand is going through an exceptional form and he adapted immediately. The players have different characteristics however, and Klose is more of a team player."

Asked about his European ambitions now that Lazio qualified for the second round of Europa League: "It was important to pass the first round, we would like to go as far as possible. We are very aware who our opponents are but we fear no one."

On the other side of the pitch, Guidolin was also full of praise for Lazio and their coach: "It will be a difficult game, but the thought of us leading the league come Christmas is very attractive. Lazio is a great team, they have a good squad which is the same as last year but even more improved with the arrivals of Cisse and Klose. Reja is loved by his players, won a derby, and has been doing well for two years in Rome. Even his assistant Lopez deserves a mention."
