18/12/2011: Sergio Zarate: "I hope Mauro returns to Rome"
email print
Despite all the anti-Lazio campaign carried by Zarate's brother last season, Sergio Zarate wishes Mauro could return to Rome...

"With Inter Zarate has a one year contract and thus there is no chance to return to Lazio in January." said Sergio Zarate who spoke exclusively to LLSN.

"In Milan it is not going very well, but you never know in Football. If it were up to me, I would have never left Rome. I was hoping everyday that Reja would change his mind. Mauro would have loved to stay. I am hoping Mauro can return to Rome as soon as possible, Lazio is the right environment for him." continued Sergio who was also Mauro's agent in the past.

"The problems we still face are with the coach, but no one from Lazio spoke to us, not even Lotito. Mauro wants to stay in Europe for 4 to 5 more years, and he has a contract with Lazio for two more seasons. If Inter do not buy him, then he will return to Lazio so to me it is either Lazio or Inter in June. I would love the idea of Mauro playing with Klose, they would entertain the audience and score lots of goals. Lazio has made a great purchase with Klose."
