19/12/2011: Manfredini on Lazio - Chievo
email print
Before Lazio's last match of the year, against Chievo at Olimpico LLSN contacted former Lazio & Chievo player Christian Manfredini now playing for Sambonifacese:

"Lazio is technically superior to Chievo, and they have the advantage to play at home. It will also be even harder for Chievo, now that the biancocelsti are looking to bounce back after the draw against Udinese. I have really good memories of my time in Verona. It was one of my best experiences. Unfortunately things did not end well at Lazio. I wanted to play at the end of my career so I am happy to be playing for Sambonifacese now."

Manfredini is not that surprised to see Lazio fighting for a top spot this season:

"For me it is no surprise. Remember that goal difference was the only reason Lazio did not make the Champions League last season. This year the team is improved aswell, with many quality players. The credit goes to Lotito & Tare for bringing players like Klose, Cissé & Lulic."
