25/12/2011: Cragnotti: Cisse is back where he was

Former Lazio president Cragnotti spoke about the two most commentated Lazio players – Klose and Cisse for Radio Sport 24 Mana Mana. Cragnotti had some strong words for Cisse: “He’d better get back where he was, he was a major player, he did some wonderful things, but he’s not consistent, the age advances so does his career. I’d say he can’t be trusted.” However Cragnotti has positive words for the performance of Lazio: “No one anticipated such a positive start to of the season. Lazio found in Klose the player to solve games. For as long as it goes well. Certainly it is not good to depend on one player, we say that improvisation came out of the donut hole. We will se how it will end.”

With the winter market here Cragnotti advises his colleague Lotito to reinforce the squad: “I think the team need reinforcements in the midfield, particularly having in mind the accident with Brocchi. Unique player in terms of interdiction. It is true Dias in not as good as last season, but I think he will recover after the break. So I wouldn’t do any defense movements. If Cisse leaves I still would go for the midfield. This is the priority. This is the area matches are won.”

The former President also spoke about the latest match fixing scandal in Italy: “It’s been a great disappointment football millionaires like this to rely on these things is atrocious. I don’t think these shortcuts serve anyone although I think that in Seria A such things don’t happen in contrast to the lower leagues” – added Cragnotti.
