30/03/2012: Lotito: "Nine finals for the Champions League"
email print
"Lazio have the potential to compete with anyone, the results depend on many factors. Never underestimate your opponent: if Lazio play humbly and cohesive it gets great results, when it has a softer approach it creates complications." Lotito's Lazio sit in third, the final Champions League spot, but are set to face a difficult away match to Parma this weekend. "The future games must be treated as finals because we have nine major opponents, we are ahead, but tomorrow will be difficult and the team must give 101% to get a result."

Lotito went on to claim he wants a more competitive Lazio, espescially on the European stage and plans to bring in players of quality. "Lazio will purchase 3-4 players, the project continues. This was a company operating at a loss and when I got it. We pay six million in debts to the tax office relating to previous management and we are the only taxpayers who pay in advance. Scudetto? I'm used to talking to the facts, we do not sell dreams, but solid reality. The facts are that the company is improving and that Lazio is coming on strong to be competitive not only in Italy but in the international arena."

Edy Reja offered his resignation twice this season, both were rejected by Lotito, so he was inevitably asked about his tactitian: "There were some clarifications and the relationship was reassembled, Lazio now has not sought alternative solutions .Reja will field all the energy that is needed to continue this growth plan. Montella? Created news. I was asked only if he is a good coach and if despite his past with Rome that in the near future is it possible that ourthe roads may be the same, but we are talking academically."
