26/05/2012: Salomone: "The coach has already been chosen"
email print
Journalist Luigi Salomone has told Radio Sei of what he believes to be Lazio's plans for the forthcoming season:

"I got to talk to the leadership of Lazio and they have very clear ideas. The coach has already been chosen, the leadership[Lotito and Tare] areenjoying reading the papers with their very fanciful ideas. The chosen coach has great charisma but is not a big name. I think that between Tuesday and Wednesday of next week the company will present him."

"I met Tare and from what I have gathered, Lazio will seek to make six new purchases. Three defenders, including a centre-back and two wing backs as well as two midfielders and a striker. I have also gathered that it is 99% likely that Zarate will not return. Regarding Hernanes, I do not think that will be sold if no reasonable offers arrive."

Brazilian legend Dunga has emerged as a frontrunner in recent days, but Salomone's comments that the coach is not a big name suggests that, should this be true, Dunga is not the said man.
