03/06/2012: Zarate: "Lazio decide. I want to stay in Rome"

Inter's option expired on May 31st. Moratti did not exercise the right of redemption.
"My situation is clear. I'm the property of Lazio. If there's a team that wants me, we'll talk. If Lotito will keep me, that's fine. I will return to Lazio and will do my best. I left Lazio because of Reja. I didn’t get on with him. The best option for everyone at the time was a transfer to Inter. I can certainly say Petkovic proposes a more attacking style of football for Lazio, so I think he can do well."

But Zarate would prefer to return to Rome or find another team?
"There are no preferences, we must also see what Lotito thinks, one can not talk now. And right now I'm not thinking about anything, I want to enjoy my holiday next to the family."

Inter did not go well?
"Everything went wrong. It was a bad season, not only for me. Except Milito, who scored an avalanche of goals, almost all of us expressed below our means. Three different coaches, a strange season, but enough is enough. It 's over, you have to start over. And I want to go play and have fun."

Zarate has a contract with Lazio until 2014.
