16/06/2012: Agents turn the screw

During the week, a flurry of media reports suggested that Burak Yilmaz was virtually a Lazio player. Today, La Reppublica bring quotes from his agent stating that there is interest from England and suddenly the deal looks as far away as ever. The paper suggests Yilmaz wants a move to Lazio, but his agent is not prepared to let his client sell himself short and is most likely generating false interest in the player to help in negotiations.
Meanwhile the same paper suggests that Nilmar could re-emerge as a possible option as well as Emmanuel Emenike, the Spartak Moscow forward who, like Yilmaz, made a name for himself in Turkey. A deal for the latter is unlikely given Manchester City's reputed interest as well as the price tag - Spartak only bought the forward last season for a steep sum of 10 million euros.
Lazio hot pursuit of Federico Balzaretti also appears to have cooled down. La Reppublica suggest that Milan are closer to signing the Italian international having offered Djamel Mesbah to Palermo in part-exchange. There is a rumour that Lotito offered Palermo the services of Javier Garrido only to find himself rejected. That has led the media to believe that Lazio would snap up Atalanta's highly rated Roman-born defender Federico Peluso. Juventus seem closer at this stage.
Gazzetta dello Sport have mentioned Tranquillo Barnetta this morning, believing that he could become a Laziale in the not so distant future. However, Igli Tare has stressed during the week that the paper have been incredibly inaccurate with their claims and it remains to be seen whether their latest claim has any substance to it.

| It's definitely a joke if we fail to secure Yilmaz's transfer-in, or even a shame, for the operation ability from the top management. Honda incident is already a disgrace. |
