Gazzetta dello Sport's transfer round-up speaks of communication between Lazio and their intense rivals, Pescara. The newly-promoted side are said to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Juan Pablo Carrizo and the paper also believes they have a 'live' interest in Pasquale Foggia. Candreva is said to have signed a 5-year deal with Lazio, but the paper speculates that Lazio have yet to buy the remaining 50% from Udinese. Udinese are said to be asking for Libor Kozak to be included in the deal, and Lazio are not prepared to meet these demands.

Il Tempo states that Lotito and Tare were shocked by Breno's jail sentence and had no B plan since they were convinced the player would be able to play for Lazio next season. On Balzaretti, Lazio may be set to test Zamparini's reserve by offering Floccari in exchange. Yilmaz appears to be closer, with Trabzonspor's President saying that he will accept Lazio's terms if the club are willing to give 25% of any future sale.

Tuttosport focus on Lazio's search for a defender now Breno is out of reach. Brazilian-born Dutch defender Douglas of FC Twente, Nacional's Uruguayan centre-back Alexis Rolin and Cagliari's Canini are all possible candidates according to the paper.

Corriere dello Sport also believe that Douglas could be on the cards for Lazio but that Rhodolfo of Sao Paolo is the main option. They believe Lazio's plan was to reunite Sao Paolo's championship winning centre-backs in Breno and Dias but with that possibility over, the Lazio hierarchy are likely to turn their attention To Rhodolfo given their good relationship with the Brazilian club and with his agent, who Lazio have already dealt with in signing Hernanes. 7 million should be enough to secure his signature. Mickael Ciani and Cesare Natali would be free gambles, Benfica's Jardel is a shout if Lotito is prepared to splash the cash.

These are translations of rumours gathered by "oizaL" at biancocelesti.org.
