Another day, another roundup. Today the papers look more into issues outside the pitch, than on the pitch, for Lazio.

Gazzetta Dello Sport focuses on the betting scandal and interrogation that are yet to be concluded. In focus are “The Hungarians” and the alleged plotter Laszlo Strasser. Novara – Lazio, Lazio – Genoa and Lecce – Lazio are of interest for the Hungarian police, as they take the aforementioned ex-footballer in for further talks.

Football-wise the paper, together with many others, looks at Mauro Zarate as Lazio’s new signing. The Argentinean impresses Petkovic, as well as the crowd, and seems to be back in Lazio with new objectives and more importantly, a new attitude. Lotito and Zarate will meet to talk about a contract extension, another sign that last year’s reject has been welcomed back in the best of ways, not only by the crowd.

Il Tempo focuses on Ederson and the injury the Brazilian has picked. Apparently the player has been brought back to Rome to look into the knock and even though the player himself as well as the medical team in Auronzo have called it a minor set-back, it seems as if Lazio will have to worry about the player being available the upcoming week.

Corriere Dello Sport focuses on transfers and Xandao is the main man being targeted. According to reports a proposal has been put forward by Lotito and the 193cm tall defender is expected to move from Portugal to Italy within the coming weeks.
