  09/08/2012: Granqvist In, Stendardo out

According to il Corriere dello Sport Lazio and Genoa have agreed terms for Swedish defender Andreas Granqvist. The deal is an initial loan with an option to buy next summer set at 4.5 millio Euros. The player's agent, Martin Dahlin, is expected in Rome to finalise personal terms with Lazio.

Granqvist is known for his goal scoring abilities despite being a defender as while Groningen in Holland he scored an incredible 21 goals in 96 appearances. he was also voted player of the season. Capped 21 times times, Granqvist took part in this summer's European Championship in Ploand and Ukraine.

As it seems Granqvist is coming in, Stendardo is out. The centre-back has officially signed with Atalanta - the team he spent last season on loan with - in a 3-year deal for an undisclosed fee. Stendardo has already began training with the nerazzuri and will face Lazio in the Serie A opener in a few weeks.
