We begin with Tuttosport today and the news that Emiliano Alfaro could be set for a move to Torino with the club making him their top priority in the forward line. Tuttosport are not known for being particualrly reliable on all things Lazio, but since they are based in Turin, this story is more credible than most, although there is little detail on any potential deal at present.

Meanwhile both Corriere dello Sport and La Repubblica feature an interview with Genoa's Andreas Granqvist, who was on international duty last night as Sweden went down 3-0 to Brazil. Granqvist cast some light on the ongoing transfer saga:

"The transfer had problems with the economic terms and then Mr. De Canio said he wanted me to stay, which pleases me."

"It would be a little disappointing [not to transfer to Lazio] as it is a good opportunity for me to play for Lazio, who are in Europe every season. We'll see what happens and I hope things will work out as soon as possible."

"The deal is a long story, it's turbulent and in one day everything can change. I have three years on my deal with Genoa but I think in the coming days there will be new discussions between the clubs. Lazio want to find a solution as soon as possible, we will see if Genoa are available."

La Repubblica carry words from Director of Sport Igli Tare, who has once again insisted that Vlad Marin's transfer to Manchester City was an economic decision on the player's part. Tare has been buoyant in recent days, stating that the staff has his full backing and trust and that he expects them to be able to do the job required. He acknowledged a need for reinforcements but said that patience is a virtue in the current mercato.
