29/08/2012: Chievo confirm interest in Alfaro and Kozak

Chievo Verona's Director of Sport has confirmed that his club are keen on securing the services of Emiliano Alfaro and Libor Kozak although he has stated that market operations could already be closed. Speaking to RadioSei, Sartori said:

"We spoke to Lazio about Alfaro and for two years, we have tried to sign Kozak."

"Alfaro is very similar to the forwards we already have in this team but at the moment we are looking more at striker."

"We like Kozak, but we think it is almost impossible to sign him."

In pre-season, Vladimir Petkovic requested that the club sell on two of its strikers as there was too many players vying for a spot in this area. Sergio Floccari and Emiliano Alfaro have been at the centre of speculation all summer with the former closing in on a move to Bologna. It appears as though the latter could yet be offloaded to Chievo, especially since Tommaso Rocchi's proposed move to Udinese appears to off the cards already.
