22/10/2012: Milan Move on the Cards for Matuzalem
email print
Lazio wantaway, Francelino Matuzalem could be set for a January switch to AC Milan. The 32 year-old Brazilian midfielder has spent the last four months on the sidelines as punishment for his refusal to turn up for pre-season training. The Brazilian cited the loss of important documents for his failure to turn up but Lazio failed to find a legitimate excuse and the ex-Shakhtar Donetsk star now trains at Formello independently.

At the time, it was suggested that Matuzalem may be the subject of interest elsehwere with many reports suggesting AC Milan were keen. It now seems more and more likely that Matuzalem will indeed end up there according to the latest reports.

Meanwhile Izet Hajrovic, Grasshoppers Zurich's right-sided attacking-midfielder has admitted that he is aware of Lazio's interest in him but the interest is stronger elsewhere. reported a few weeks ago that Lazio were scouting the 21 year-old and it seems that the capital club may make a move in the near future.
