A crowd of over 2000 people gathered at the Chiesa della Gran Madre church, to honour and salute Roberto Lovati, passed away last Wednesday.

Among the crowd were the 1974 ex-players and champions like Wilson, Facco, Garlaschelli, Oddi and Sulfaro.  Not much later the complete current Lazio squad joined in the church.
Even ex-coach Delio Rossi was present, and Roma's mayor Allemanno.

Outside the Lazio fans held a big banner saying :Si scrive Lovati si legge Lazio”, "You write Lovati, you read Lazio!"

When the ceremony started inside, Lazio's 1974 captain Wilson started his speech, but was in tears, moved by this loss, and told that Bob Lovati was a true gentleman, true to his 'biancoceleste' faith for 56 years.

At 16.30 the ceremony ended, and outside the Lazio crowd applauded, while Lovati was followed by his ex-players like Wilson, Garlaschelli and Oddi.

From today, another star is shining in the skyblue heaven's, over the Eternal City.
