Although he is unlikely to even make the bench, "Eddy" Onazi has made the first team squad chosen by coach Reja to make the trip to Naples.
Onazi was signed in January and his name will be new to many. He is a lively midfielder who has a knack for finding the back of the net. Comparisons have been drawn to our very own Pasquale Foggia and it appears as though Onazi is now a threat to the Neapolitan.
Onazi is a Nigerian who is, as yet, uncapped internationally but a fixture in their underage sides. It has been speculated that he has been attracting the interest of major European clubs for quite some time. He is known to have had a trial with Panathanaikos and there are rumours he has even trained with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
His finest moment came when winning the U-17 World Cup in 2009 with Nigeria with a comfortable win over Spain. His talent earned him a brief sponsorship in Sweden and he proved his class in a tournament by racking up 9 goals and ending the competition as top goalscorer.
