  22/03/2013: Zarate back today

Mauro Zarate is back from the Maldives and returns to a furious Lazio who will look to impose the maximum fine on the player.

Zarate had provided the club with a medical certificate to justify his absence from training. The medical certificate claimed that Zarate had ‘health problems’ due to stress from being frozen out of the team which have resulted in an epidermal disease.

The specialists Zarate appointed advised the player get time off for a few days to rest at home. It was outlined that Zarate would be absent from the 13th March, which coincidently was his birthday, until yesterday.

Things took a turn when he was spotted in the Maldives by Lazio fans who reported it to the radio. A full investigation is set to be launched by a furious Lazio as they may address the Board of Arbitration to ensure they impose the maximum fine on the player.

Zarate has been frozen out since December when he refused to sit on the bench against Inter. His agent sent a letter to Lazio last week hoping to reintegrate his client into the team but this latest episode will no doubt make the relationship even more difficult between club and player.
