"It is an immense joy to have won an historic victory in a final featuring both Roman clubs for the first time. We deserved the win with the absolute desire to bring home the result. We are the number one team in the capital - and the oldest! We will everything possible now to improve the squad and make the team suitable for playing on numerous fronts."

Lotito had a message for the fans:

" I am particularly proud of the pre-match choreography organised by the fans, which showed everyone that Lazio are the oldest club in Rome. Certainly among the tens of thousands of fans there are individuals who can cause problems, but they don't reflect upon the majority."
