06/04/2011: Lotito: It is unfair we earn less than Napoli from TV Rights
email print
“We were offered €49 million for the television rights, but why is that we should be the only club to take a cut? We are a team from the capital ! What about our history, we are one of the oldest clubs and just recently we won the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup. I don’t think the others who are earning more did.”

Lotito then moved to take a swipe at Napoli who declared bankruptcy in 2004 and were relagated to Serie C2, with the club name changed to remove the debts: "We are called Lazio, while they are Napoli Soccer. It’s too easy to begin again from Serie C1 and not pay off a club’s debts, but you end up losing your history!”

Finally Lotito moved angrily to discuss again the incidents of the infamous Sunday at Naples. "Cavani dives and get a penalty and Biava is sent off ! Antonio Cassano gets fouled by Zanetti and we end up with a booking ! It is about time referees take uniform decisions !" he fumed.
