Lazio have released an official statement on their website to show their support of captain Stefano Mauri, who today has been deferred with the club to the tribunal.

"S.S. Lazio take note of the deferral to the Disciplinary Committee of it's player Stefano Mauri, referring to the games Lazio - Genoa and Lecce - Lazio dating back to 2010/11, and the subsequent deferral of the club to be held liable. We reiterate our confidence in correct behavior. We assume at the stage of the disciplinary proceedings Stefano Mauri will be able to prove his innocence against the allegations, eliminating those suspicions which led the Federal Prosecutor's to formulate the assumptions in the deferral."
