12/07/2013: Auronzo di Cadore: Day 2
email print
Pre-season training began at 10am sharp and the players were greeted with a short speech from Vladimir Petkovic who quickly put obstacles in their faces and reminded them why they were in Auronzo di Cadore. Following the physical training, Petkovic proceeded to carry out some one-on-one exercises and further exercises that tested defensive and attacking skills before closing the morning session with more athletic work and the warm-down. During the session, Petkovic has stressed to the squad that they needed to communicate more often and work that bit harder. All in all, the session went well though, with only a minor injury to report. Michael Ciani took an elbow to the face which resulted in a cut above the eye (Kozak's involvement in the incident has not been confirmed).

In the afternoon, there was more athletic training before Petkovic decided to treat the crowd to a friendly kickabout. In game one, it was Emiliano Alfaro who stole the show, quickly bagging himself a hat-trick. Radu, Pereirinha and the young Keita also opened their pre-season account. In a second game, Ederson opened the scoring for his side before the young guns sealed the win for their team - Antic, Vinicius and Rozzi all scored with derby hero, Senad Lulic scoring a much more underwhelming goal than his previous effort for Lazio. With another warm-dwon, day two was complete.
