Much of the focus today is on Lazio's 11-0 win over an Auronzo di Cadore select. The win looks impressive on paper, but considering Lazio won the same fixture 16-0 and 14-0 in 2011 and 2012 respectively, not much can be taken from the game. Despite this, Corriere dello Sport have identified a bright spark - Mamadou Tounkara. The 17 year-old hit two goals in two minutes and the Italian daily has branded him as a 'surprise' who could force his way into Vladimir Petkovic's first team plans although there is a long way for Tounkara to go.

Petkovic experimented with three different systems which we are quite familiar with from last season; 3-5-2, 4-1-4-1 and 4-2-3-1. Having racked up 11 goals, the team went out for pizza and today is expected to be more of a relaxation day than anything else.

Also in Corriere dello Sport is speculation that Lazio are interested in one of Paolo Di Canio's Sunderland boys - Sebastian Larsson. A natural winger who could give both Senad Lulic and Antonio Candreva competition, Larsson is a 28 year-old Swede who is now deemed surplus to requirements following the acquisition of Emmanuele Giaccherini from Juventus. With a contract expiring next summer, his price could be quite reasonable and Sunderland's interest in Lazio's wantaway wing-back Luis Pedro Cavanda could smooth out a deal.

According to La Repubblica, Cavanda is set to join the Lazio squad in Auronzo di Cadore on Friday but the player still has his heart set on a transfer to England and doubts that he will be allowed to train with the main group on arrival. According to Gazzetta dello Sport's Tancredi Palmeri, Suderland contacted Lazio on Monday to make a second attempt at signing the Belgian. A Larsson - Cavanda swap could well happen by the end of the mercato.
