Yesterday, all the speculation revolved around wing-backs. Today, it is the vice-Klose dilemma that has hit the news. Corriere dello Sport claim that Lazio are looking into the possibility of signing Christian Benteke - the 22 year-old Belgian forward who has submitted a transfer request to Aston Villa after an incredibly successful debut season in the English Premier League. Benteke's price tag is somewhere in the region of 30 million euro and completely out of Lazio's range, but given his persistent squabbling in the media with his current employers, a much lower offer may eventually be accepted and Benteke is seen by the newspaper as an opportunity to rival Fiorentina's acquisition of Mario Gomez.

Meanwhile Tuttosport believe Lazio are looking at Fabio Quagliarella. The Juventus forward is on the market for 12 million euro and has attracted interest from Norwich - who had a bid of 10 million euro rejected. Southampton and Zenit St. Petersburg are also keen but Lazio are believed to be in the race. Lotito is not willing to pay 12 million euro for Quagliarella, but given Juventus' interest in Senad Lulic, the paper claims that the president will listen to alternatives.

In other news, ANSA report that Hernanes has told a Brazilian blog that he will return to Lazio for pre-season training, but there are no guarantees he will be around on a long-term basis. La Repubblica claim that PSG, Monaco, Tottenham and Arsenal have all asked about the midfielder's availability.
