Once again the theme of training was ball possession as the guys were split into teams of seven. Andre Dias assured the media that his muscular strain was nothing to worry about as he resumed training. Petkovic tried defensive shapes concentrating on a back four with Konko, Novaretti, Ciani, Radu and Stankevicius, Biava, Cana, Crecco. Vinicius was absent with a bout of the flu.

There was excitement for the Lazio fans as they finally saw new signing Lucas Biglia begin training. The Argentine's transfer took longer than expected but got acquainted with his new teammates before Petkovic tried some tactical shapes by interestingly placing Biglia beside Ledesma in midfield.

Lazio played their second test of the summer against an all Brazilian team. The team was made up of out of contract players. Keita looked very dangerous throughout scoring a nice goal after already hitting the cross bar. Ederson hit a brace for Lazio while Cana scored a header to secure a 4-1 win.
