  06/08/2013: Fiuggi: Day One
email print
S.S. Lazio have arrived in Fiuggi for another 'ritiro' as they up the ante in preparation for the Supercoppa. At 5pm yesterday, a training session was held and the session saw Petkovic break the group down  into offensive and defensive units to initiate focused tactical work. The group was also divided for physical training towards the end of the session.

Hernanes, Candreva, Gonzalez and Onazi out in some extra minutes after the session to try and speed up their return to full fitness as they remain out of sync with their teammates. Felipe Anderson and Pereirinha look to be close to a full return to training as they trained separately with the ball yesterday evening. Meanwhile, Miroslav Klose was put on a separate training regime in the gym - it is not clear if he is carrying a small injury or if he is on a special training programme. Cristian Ledesma is not yet present in Fiuggi. He was given permission to join the team on Tuesday morning instead.

Those fans who have made the trip to Fiuggi to witness the side in pre-season training were in full voice as they sang songs of support to captain Stefano Mauri, who was banned for 6 months last week for failing to report suspicious activity surrounding match-fixing.
