  20/08/2013: Lazio 'Agreement' for Yilmaz
email print
After days of uncertainty, which saw Turkish media report that Galatasaray had laughed off an 8.7 million euro offer for Burak Yilmaz, it is now reported that Yilmaz will move to Lazio for 15 million euro, picking up a salary of 2.5 million euro year. Corriere dello Sport appear to endorse the reports in Turkey but the deal is far from straight-forward.

In order to sign Yilmaz, Lazio must free up a non-EU spot which can only be done if Lazio Primavera's Emmanuel Sani is sold to a team outside of Italy. Even then, Lazio must convince Deportivo Cali to defer the agreement for Brayan Perea until next summer. Only then can Yilmaz be registered as a Lazio player.

With that in mind, Corriere dello Sport suggest that Gonzalo Bergessio of Catania may be the eventual recruit.
