  29/08/2013: Berisha Battle Continues
email print
Destination unknown for Etrit Berisha. The Albanian goalkeeper is certainly leaving Kalmar FF but where for and when remains up in the air. According to Chievo, Berisha signed a pre-contract agreement to join Chievo on the 1st January 2014. According to Berisha, there is no official agreement and Lazio have offered 300,000 euro to Kalmar FF to secure the immediate signing of Berisha.

While Chievo continue to dispute Berisha's contractual claims, Lazio are not interested in arguing at this moment in time. Lazio will only sign Berisha if he can acquire a Swedish passport as the club want to keep the non-EU spot they have free for Burak Yilmaz or Brayan Perea. The passport is due to arrive in the next few days which will leave Lazio with 24-48 hours to force through the deal.

Should Berisha move to Lazio rather than Chievo, it is likely Albano Bizzarri will leave the club with Genoa being the obvious destination, despite the club's claims that they will not sign a goalkeeper before the transfer window closes.
