06/09/2013: Reja: "Petkovic is probably satisfied"

In an interview with Radio Sei, Edy Reja has given his opinion on Lazio's market and recent performances:

"More was expected from Lazio's market this year, given that they are involved in three competitions. Kozak is gone, Rozzi is gone and the solutions for the attack seem poor, especially when you consider the trend of recent series regarding Klose's physical conditions. For now, the squad seems adequate. The market was not important in the end. The leadership worked at the beginning [of the transfer window]. Petkovic is probably satisfied with what he has - he may have rejected other proposed players."

"I believe Lazio suffered against Juventus because of choices in the midfield. Lazio's midfield have different characteristics to Juventus' midfield and lost out to their physical dominance. You have to weigh up and properly assess the opposition and try to make the correct actions. Lazio must now wait for the feedback they will gain soon. I believe Ledesma and Biglia can coexist, but not against Juventus. I paired Ledesma with Matuzalem, who is also good at defending and completely different to Hernanes, and I found they complimented each other perfectly."

"Lazio is definitely competitive. They can compete with AC Milan, Fiorentina, Inter and Roma for the final spot behind Juventus and Napoli. Roma are stronger now than they were in recent seasons. For 3-4 years now, Lazio have been much the same, but they are more competitive now. The leadership has remained the same but the bench is longer and contains better quality."
