email print
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport last night, Claudio Lotito gave his views on the summer mercato which has seen criticism from the media for failing to bring in a new striker. Lotito told journalists:

"Our fans are pleased. We are one of the few clubs who did not sell anyone. We spent 28 million and signed 8 players. Yilmaz? He was not in our plans, we focused on Perea. We play with 1 striker and we have 4, I do not need any more."

Lotito answered questions on new signing Berisha who is under investigation after Chievo claim he had already signed with them:

"There is nothing to clarify. He is registered with Lazio, he was signed and paid for regularly from a Swedish club."
