22/10/2013: Filippini: "The coach can do well"
email print
Speaking to microphones of Lazio Style Radio, former Lazio player Antonio Filippini gives his views on the problems in Rome facing Petkovic:

"During the break perhaps the staff did alot of athletic work to recharge the energy which we may see the benefit of later. When the league resumes it's difficult to be at the level before the break. The team needs to be more compact and recover the mental energy and nerves which are so fundamental. Every game in Serie A is difficult, especially with so many players missing from one department, which is the case with Lazio's defence."

"Lazio did well last year with Petkovic. This year they have not started well but I think the coach can still do well. Surely the players have to give that little bit extra to get the results. The young policy they have adopted is the right one, if the players prove to be good."

Lazio's next game is against Apollon, Antonio comments:

"I expect a lot of anger from a team looking to get out of a difficult period. When things are going wrong you can't wait to get on the pitch. The players will want to prove themselves and get out of this crisis."
