Hernanes spoke to the press after winning the Gentlemen Award of 2010 which is given amongst athletes in the Lazio region.

Hernanes went to the stage to receive his award, and then spoke about this season with Lazio:

"We wanted to take the fourth place, and we knew that the game against Parma was very important. To get the 4th position we had to win, there was nothing else to do but win. We now have very difficult matches ahead, especially against Inter and Juventus away from home. Not to mention that we were unlucky against Napoli, as we did not deserve to lose the game." said Hernanes.

Then Hernanes spoke about the fans: "The support of the fans is very important. They gave us all a very warm welcome on Sunday, and thus played a big part in getting the win. I feel at home when I play at Olimpico, and I feel we are all like one big family. I am very happy at Lazio."

Finally Hernanes spoke about his form: "No I am not tired, and I feel very fit. I am still young and I can play at the highest levels."

Finally a thought for the Catania game: "It will be a very important game, to stay 4th, we must win !"
