Lazio striker Brayan Perea was happy with his team’s victory against Legia Warsaw, but also stressed the fact that the Biancocelesti need to improve in Serie A.
The capital club’s 2-0 away win against the Polish side secured Lazio of their place in the round of 32 of the Europa League, but while the Romans have done well in European games this season, the Colombian admitted they have been less than impressive in the Serie A as they currently sit in 8th position.
“My goal was very important as it helped me gain confidence”, Perea said to Sky Sport after the match.
“We’re doing good in Europe, but we need to do better in Italy because fate has not helped us”.
The 20-year-old Colombian also reacted to comparisons with Edison Cavani.
“To get to that level I need to work a lot and be humble.”
