  23/01/2014: Inter after Hernanes again?
email print
Thelatest indications of Walter Mazzarri are clear – if Inter Milan are to make an offer for a midfielder this winter, it must be Hernanes. After their President Erick Thohir snubbed the last minute swap deal which would have involved Juventus’ Mirko Vucinic in exchange for Fredy Guarin, the club are looking to instead bolster their midfield options quickly it seems.

Mazzarri has stated he wants a top midfielder with leadership qualities who can straight away slot into his side without problems and have his teammates look up to him.

"In short, we are after a
quality midfielder not only for until the end of the season, but someone that can help the club improve further from day one of next season"

Hernanes’ agent Joseph Lee also commented on the rumours; "For now the situation only concerns the two clubs Lazio and Inter. Until or should they find an agreement between themselves, I really can not say too much".

Gazzetta mentioned that the deal is stillhot’ however, but also that Claudio Lotito will not consider anything less than 18million for the popular Brazilian.
