24/02/2014: Radu: "Best goal of my career"
email print
Thanks to a Radu brace, Lazio overcame Sassuolo last night in an exciting affair. The Romanian was interviewed by Lazio Style Radio:

"We have won, even if we suffered a bit. Hopefully the next time we will be more relaxed. We should have entered the second half more focused to get the second goal. Luckily in the end, we still got the three points. It's nice to play with 50,000 fans in the stand. They pushed us hard, I didn't even hear whistles when Sassuolo scored. They were always close to the team."

"It's a nice thing to score twice but I want to check nobody else deflected the ball. I saw Candreva cheer and thought he had touched it, maybe not. It is easy to say it was the best goal of my career even though I have not scored many. Again, it is nice to play with so many fans in the stadium. When we were level, they were our 12th man. A goal in Sofia? We hope to qualify which is the most important thing. We are ready to fight a great battle for the next round."
