Speaking to Sky Sports, the Lazio President expressed his thoughts on the difficult situation currently surrounding the Roman club;

"I want to do well as President. Some people do not know the mechanisms of football, all they do is read, hear and listen to others but do not know what is really behind the surface and that everyone has different points of view".

"What you ask the fans for is patience because I understand that everyone wants to win now. It is my dream to win right away, but we must be patient and with time more victories will come", stressed Lotito.

"In today’s football world everyone must comply with financial fair play. This means that you cannot have an offset of 15 million Euros over three years for example, without any capital injections by other shareholders. As you can see, many teams today have a policy of reducing their costs because unfortunately the rules do not allow such situations which were allowed some 10 years ago".

"The fans need to understand this and need to make it right. It is not a problem I have set as some believe, it is a problem created by the system.
Lazio have a calm managerial style", stated Lotito.

The President was then asked about Miroslav Klose’s potential extension and his plans for next season;

"Klose? There is a willingness on our part to find the possibility of extending his time at Lazio but we will see".

"The future? Next season we will have an even stronger side. We are strengthening the squad at the moment and we have already said that we will make at least two purchases. We have a future", emphasised Lotito.
