It is official; Filip Djordjevic is a Lazio player. The announcement came yesterday that the striker will play for Lazio next season. The Serbian international will arrive in Rome on a free transfer in July and is the first purchase by President Claudio Lotito for the upcoming season.

Djordjevic sent a video message to the Lazio official site;"I am a new player of Lazio. I am happy to play at such a prestigious club and I hope to live some great moments next season".

The message came on the day when Lotito asks for the support of the fans in the fight for Europa League qualification and he will hope that the signing of the player will settle some people.

Djordjevic also had messages to Nantes and the club’s fans; "I chose Lazio after a long reflection and I hope I have made ​​the right choice. This is a new step in my career. It was a difficult decision for me to leave as Nantes is a club that I love”.

The striker then reflected on the current position the French side is in; “For the moment I am still here and I will give
my best to help the club win the highest possible position in the Ligue 1 standings".

"I want to thank those who have helped me here in France. All that I have done I owe to Nantes, and I will forever be a fan. I came from
Serbia at a very young age and the club staff helped me greatly. I have many fond memories that will stay with me forever, I would like to thank you all", concluded Djordjevic.
