  20/04/2014: "We will not give up": Reja

The last gasp draw against Torino keeps Lazio’s slim hopes of European football alive, but the final sixth place is now occupied by not only Parma but also Milan.

"We are two points behind sixth. With the full three points we would have been level, but we are still alive although a bit distant. It will be difficult and we will take one game at a time, and we will do everything possible to achieve our goal", stated Reja.

Reja was then asked about the referee sending off Diego Novaretti;

"Unfortunately, we often end up with 10 men. Today against a well organized Torino side we went ahead twice but we could not keep the result due to some defensive lapses. We scored three good goals at home and that is usually enough, but the three we conceded really hurt us and we should have done better on stopping them".

Finally, Reja was asked about his decision to substitute Keita and introduce Pereirinha;

"Tell me
who I had to put in to give balance to the team? I believed fielding Pereirinha at this time was the best move for us. When I arrived here I thought I would not find myself in such situations. Complaints are always there, it is part of football, the coaches are booed everywhere", concluded Reja.
