27/04/2014: Reja: "We want quality players"

Fresh from Lazio's 2-0 win over Livorno this afternoon, Edy Reja spoke to the media about his side's chances of qualifying for Europe as they moved into joint sixth with Verona and Torino.

"We had a good performance today. It would be a great achievement for us to make the Europa League. , we have to take 9 points now. Unfortunately we drew with Torino but mistakes can happen. There are many teams fighting for 6th place so it will depend on how we get on in the direct confrontations."

"How do we compensate the absence of Klose? By not having a reference point in attack. Keita and Candreva move a lot as does Mauri. The important thing is that they keep their positions to cover the field adequately."

Reja was asked about Candreva's future as talks have been complicated with Udinese:

"I know that he is happy in Rome. There are problems involving the deal which I will not go into detail but for me, he is the first I would confirm for next season. Regardless of the Europa League, the club want to bring in quality players. Tare is monitoring several options in Italy and abroad. We want to give our fans a team capable of finishing in the top positions."
