Speaking to the media in the 'Mix Zone' after the 1-0 win against Bologna, Giuseppe Biava announced that a decision on his future would be made official in the coming week, but he made it quite clear that his future is not at Lazio:

"I have already made my decision, and will communicate it this week. I have to wait a few days."

"I have already talked about my desire to go home to my family, I have had four wonderful years in Rome and have good memories of that historic Coppa Italia final. If I leave, I will carry Lazio in my heart and leave behind great companions, the president, and the fans."

"The society has shown great confidence in me, offering me another year. The president believe in me, not only as a player, but as a person and I thank him."

Biava was then asked about his partnership with Dias:

"Today was our last game [as a partnership]. I am happy to have played with who I think is the strongest Lazio defender. I hope he stays [at Lazio], as he still has a lot to give."
