17/08/2014: Prce to Lazio, while the Paletta rumours intensify

Lazio have virtually completed the signing of Hajduk Split’s promising defender Franjo Prce, claim La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Stefano Pioli is however also requesting an experienced central defender to join the club before the transfer market closes and it appears as though Parma’s Gabriel Paletta is now the number one target.

Prce will join up with Simone Inzaghi and the Primavera squad over the coming days. The defender is already an Under-17 international for Croatia and has had several bigger clubs interested in his services for the last few months, so this is seen as a positive investment for the future.

Pioli is waiting for Lotito and Tare to confirm who will be new signing Stefan De Vrij’s defensive partner and in recent hours it appears as though Paletta is in pole position to join the Biancocelesti due to his proven experience in Serie A and the fact that Lotito has a good relationship with Parma.

Alexis Rolan, Ron Vlaar and Vojislav Stankovic are the other names being tossed around by the media so a move for one of them could also arise.
