  21/08/2014: Perea to Perugia?
email print
Having been passed fit on his return to Rome, Brayan Perea reiterated his desire to stay and fight for his place at the club via his agent, but according to La Repubblica, Lazio have different plans for the Colombian forward.

The 21 year-old - who is believed to be on the verge of a call-up to the Colombia national team - may be sent on loan to Perguia for the season as the Roman club see no space for him in the current setup.

Miroslav Klose is likely to be number one striker once fully ready while Filip Djordjevic has been brought in to be his understudy and possible successor. The killer blow for Perea, however, has been the impressive performances of Mamadou Tounkara in pre-season. He staked his claim for a spot in the first team while Perea was recovering, and it seems he will be given the opportunity to continue this form. An added feather in Tounkara's cap is his eligibility for the Primavera, which may be of interest to Lazio who want to regain the Primavera Scudetto.

Perea is not the only one set for Perugia. Vinicius Freitas is also close to a transfer, which is believed to have been agreed already but put on hold as Lazio and Perugia work on other transfer objectives.
