Claudio Lotito took to the press to again urge fans to support the team as he hopes for a good performance against Milan. The president was in buoyant mood following Lazio's crushing defeat of Bassano in the Coppa Italia:

"A great debut match. It is the result of the hard work done by coach Pioli and the boys. We were keen to present the team in the best way and we were successful. The match against Bassano was just the first of many that the team will be able to demonstrate their quality."

Lotito turned his attention to Lazio's Serie A opener away to Milan at San Siro:

"We now look ahead and keep the pace up. Next Sunday we can expect a much more complex challenge. It is crucial to take to the field against Milan with the right mindset. Going home with three points would be an important motivator for a good start to the championship."

"I hope that the drive from the fans will not fail."
