The Curva Nord returned to the Olimpico for the first time following several months of absence in protest of the clubs leadership, and coach Stefano Pioli was pleased with this and also the result. He spoke to the media following the 3-0 victory over Cesena;

"Today was a beautiful day. It was our first home game at the Olimpico this season. The players showed a lot of passion in the game and towards the fans".

"There was a little tension before the game started because we came from a defeat in Milan which did not show our real quality and abilities. We wanted to start off today on the right foot against Cesena and we did that. The fans were wonderful and helped us play our style of football and to be more confident. They gave us an extra boost".

"We played well with the right attitude. Our performance was positive and we wanted to control the game from the start which is what we did. We played well and had the right attitude. We created a lot and with very little risk and chances to exploit us. This is the type of football we are aiming to play every week and will continue to do so", concluded Pioli.
