  27/09/2014: Primavera: Frosinone 0-5 Lazio
email print
Lazio Primavera got their quest for another Primavera Scudetto back on track with a demolition of local club Frosinone in this afternoon's Championship encounter.

A Frosinone own goal got the ball rolling for the Primavera before Australian Chris Ikonomidis doubled Lazio's lead with a well-taken goal before the half-time whistle.

There was no let up in the second half. Mamadou Tounkara had an opportunity to put Lazio three up from the spot, but his effort was saved. The penalty miss proved to be far from decisive; if anything, it spurred the boys on.

Alessandro Murgia - called up to the senior squad for the first time this week - celebrated that fact with the third. Tounkara added a fourth with 15 minutes to go and Lorenzo Pace grabbed a fifth in the dying minutes to complete a comfortable victory.

A convincing win for Simone Inzaghi's team sees us move up to seventh in Girone C having lost our first two games of the campaign.

Lazio will now take on Chievo Verona on Wednesday for the Supercoppa Primavera
