Edy Reja was bitterly disappointed after the loss to Inter. Speaking to Sky he said:
"We had the advantage of playing with Inter being a man down, and we could not use it to our advantage. We did not deserve to lose this game, just like we did not deserve to lose the Napoli game. But now the league gets more exciting, and the battle for the 4th position is still wide open. Udinese and Napoli lost, and sadly we could not take advantage of that".

Asked if he feels that he did not direct the game well, Reja said:
"After we were 1-0 up, we went back a little bit and started focusing on counter attacks, and this is why it seemed that Inter were back in the game. But I have to applaud my players, we have come to Milan, and faced a tough team like Inter. My regret is that Biava seems injured. As for Hernanes, I cannot ask much from him, he is tired. I did expect though from him to shoot on goal. But he was positive overall. Besides, the foul on Eto was non existant, Biava did not touch him !"

The reports asked him then to comment on Mauri's foul: "I have not spoken to him yet, I don't want to make early judgements."

Asked about his opinion of the team's overall performance, Reja said: "Yes we play a great game, but sadly when we took the lead, we were not able to keep it. From this aspect, we need to improve. The team looked scared to concede, and thus they automatically switched to defense. This is a psychological aspect that needs to improve, we must believe in ourselves."

Finally Reja spoke about the pitch: "It was terrible, when we started our warmup, we noticed the bad situation of the pitch, we even changed the cleats of the shoes, but it did not matter. The situation was really terrible and you can see what happened to Biava."
