After the defeat against Juve, Edy Reja was fuming after the game, and continued his scathing attack on the referees.
No more diplomacy, no more fear, Edy Reja has let it all out:
"It was a clear penalty on Floccari. It could have changed the result of the match. I really don't know what needs to happen for Floccari to get a penalty, maybe he needs to be shot !" fumed Reja.
"These are incidents that change the result of the game. There is no point in talking anymore, you have all seen the pictures, you be the judges. I cannot say anything, this is enough, maybe we should change our shirts to get penalties." said an angry Reja.
Reja continued with bitterness very obvious on the old tactician's face:
"If we had gotten the penalty, we may have won the game, and now reached 63 points and nearly sealed the battle for the 4th position. But now the morale of the team is affected. I have seen their faces after the game, they are dejected. I am proud of my boys, they have played a great game. They can be proud of the performances they are putting, but in every game recently we have questionable episodes against us. A single situation now could affect the entire league."
Then Reja continued his rant: "I can understand that mistakes happen, but when its always 'with' certain teams and 'against' others, it is unacceptable. I just hope that in the last three games things will be better."
But despite feeling that everything is going against his Lazio, Edy Reja will not surrender without a fight: "In the next three games, we have to get nine points. If we do so then no body can hurt us. We will give it our all, we will fight with everything we have to make it happen. If we get to the 69 points, we will make it happen."
Stephen Lichtsteiner also chipped in to give his two cents about the referees to the microphones of sky: "Penalties are only given to some" clearly hinting to the other team of the city, AS Roma.
