10/05/2011: The players: Non Mollare Mai
email print
Lazio is no longer in advantage to reach the champions league, as now the team slumped to sixth position behind Udinese who seem to be the favorites followed by Roma. Everyone shares the fact now that qualification is not only in Lazio's hands, but depends a lot on a slip from the competitors Udinese and Roma. The hopes of the fans may have been shattered after the defeat against Udinese, but the players might have a different idea.

Kozak, Biava, and Scaloni spoke to Lazio Style Radio about the defeat against Udinese and all shared the determination to move on and fight till the end.

Speaking to the radio Kozak who will be missing Genoa's game after receiving a booking in the game against Udinese said: "We feel very bitter, but now we must move on and win over Genoa. There is no other choice but to win the remaining two games, and hope for the best. We will fight it until the end."

Biava then spoke to the microphone of Lazio Style and said: "Genoa is a crucial game, we must win to keep out hopes alive and not even throw away Europa League ! We must move on and forget all about last week. We have done wrong despite the chances to make it better in the second half."

Finally it was Scaloni who spoke to the Radio and said: "We did not expect to lose against Udinese, now we have no choice but to win against Genoa to keep that hope of reaching the Champions League alive. The fans are giving us a lot and we must show the will to finish as high up in the standings as possible."

Lazio will have now Mauri and Ledesma back, but will be missing Brocchi, Dias, and Kozak. With only two rounds remaining and with Udinese and Roma ahead of us in the standings, Lazio has to win their remaining two games and pray for the tides to turn again in their favor.
