11/05/2011: Lazio to sponsor research for ALS

 'Adopt a Cell' is a campaign to raise money for research on neural stem cells to help treat nerodegenerative diseases such as ALS which has effected many people in the world of football. The campaign, which will be backed by Lazio, is promoted by the House of the Relief of Suffering in collaboration with the Association Neurothon Onlus, Stem Cells Foundation and the diocese of Terni-Nanri-Amelia.
The campaign will be promoted this weekend when Lazio play Genoa at the Olimpico and will be announced through the loud speaker encouraging fans to adopt cells via the internet.
Lotito, a supporter of the campaign "Our team supports this important campaign to boost the research against ALS. I hope our fans, as well as those of Genoa, and in general all over the world want to push the boundaries of competitive sport for a gesture of solidarity".
